One more post before we leave!

Yesterday morning I took L girl to get her hair cut! She lasted maybe 4 minutes in the chair which gave the stylist barely enough time to cut her hair or as b daddy use to call it "crazy scientist hair". I think it looks much better now!

Can you believe how red baby b's hair is!? I love it! I've always wanted a little red head! Thanks for the gene B daddy! Oh, and thanks to my mom. She has red hair too.

We are leaving on Wednesday! I won't be blogging again till Monday! B daddy is flying down to Salt Lake to help his dad build four bedrooms in their basement. We are going down there for Christmas this year and now will have some place to stay! Also his brother who's getting home from his mission this year will need a room!

I'm going to be at my mom's house while he goes. I'll need all the help I can get! L girl is excited to see her grandpa and grandma. Especially grandpa.

Be back soon! Have a spooky Halloween!

love, K

Dan, the "pope mobile", and one sleepy daddy

Tonight we had the wonderful opportunity to go on a DATE! We have some really good friends who watched our girls for us. They are so good with kids! Thanks you two! For our date we went to a movie. "Dan in real life". We really enjoyed it. It was very funny and very heart wrenching! The best romantic comedy I've seen in a while. Steve played this role so well!

When we got back from our date we played pictionary with our friends. This shot is of Jay. He had to draw the pope. He drew him in a really cool car that he dubbed the "pope mobile". It was a knee slapper!

This photo has nothing to do with our date but, I just had to share it! This is B Daddy and Baby B. He came home from school and fell asleep with her. So cute! I love him so much! He's such a wonderful father! The girls just adore him!

The Pink Tea

This is Camille. She's my friend and visiting teacher! We met back when B daddy was in the singles ward bishopric. Not to long after we left, Camille got married and we are in the same ward again! Yeah! She got to go to an Adobe workshop in Chicago this last week! I am pretty jealous! She is really great with kids, she's very creative, she's very giving, and she's very fun!

This is her table that she decorated at the Pink Tea. She works at the hospital here in town and got the opportunity to be the head of a table. She did such a great job! The Pink Tea is a fundraiser for breast cancer. All the money that was donated today when towards paying for mammograms that others can't afford. A breast cancer survivor spoke at the Tea. She did such a wonderful job. She had us all laughing, crying, and singing! They are looking for volunteers at our hospital, specifically in the new cancer resource center. I hope that some time soon I could find a few hours here and there to help! I think it would be a good thing for me to get out of the house and a good thing for me to help with! Thank you Camille for inviting me! You're the Best!

Blessing Baby B

Our sweet little red headed baby b was blessed in church today. B daddy gave a wonderful blessing. Although this morning he thought he was going to be sick. Come to find he was just very nervous! Bless his heart! Baby b has such a sweet little temperament. L girl was a much harder baby. She suffered with colic for way to many months! It was very tough. I am so grateful for baby b! I was so worried about having two kids. She just makes it a little easier than I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, she has her gassy moments where she'll cry.
Other than that she loves sleeping, pooping, eating, and looking around!
This is four generations! My grandpa and grandma, dad, me and, baby b! It was so much fun having my family visit! I wish they could have stayed longer! All good things must come to an end! Tear. It was a wonderful Sunday!

Above the changer the wall art cards spell girl! yeah! I love my girls! I also love how we have a very small apartment so this room is four rooms in one!

Woot Woot! I've been Officially Tagged! Thanks, Thorny!

The rules are:
1. Add a link to your tagger (live lovely) and post these rules,
2. Facts about me: some random, some weird ... all devastatingly interesting.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of my post and list their names (linking to them)
4. Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs...So here goes:

1: My most embarrassing moment:

This happened my freshman year of high school. So, I was late for school this particular morning and in my panic I threw on the closest pair of jeans. My first period class was English. Luckily I wasn't very late. In my English class we always had reading time as soon as we got to class. I walk in and sit down. Everyone is silently reading. I reach down to get my book from my bag and see nothing but my very very colorful Victoria secret underwear hanging from the bottom of my pants!!!! PANIC! I'm not sure how long they had been hanging there but I threw them into my bag a fast as I could!

2: I Miss:
The Yellow 1979 Toyota Pickup I use to drive in high school. It was so fun! It would even backfire in the school parking lot causing everyone to duck!

3: I wish:
I wish I had cake platter collection. I have always wanted to have a collection. I really want to start collecting cake platters! And then I'd also wish to have a really cute kitchen to put them in!

4: I crave:
Panda Express Orange Chicken!!

5: I love:

Of course I love my family, the Savior, Heavenly Father, the gospel, and all my friends. I also really love a freshly cleaned and dried bath mat! Actually to tell you the truth I love anything that is freshly cleaned or laundered! I really do love cleaning!

6:Every Tuesday Night I have to:

Watch the Biggest Loser! I love this show!

Mission: Organize!

I've been dreaming up this board for some time now. I knew I needed some way to keep track of what's for dinner, when b daddy's classes start, what's going on that week, and when do I got time for myself! This is our third week doing the family schedule board and it rocks! We have so much more time together and we don't forget anything! I really love having every meal picked out for the week. If I don't schedule out the meals I just dread dinner time all day long. In the back of my mind I'm always thinking, what are we having for dinner!!! UGH! Every Sunday night b daddy and I reset the board. It really helps having him interested and involved. He does have to make sure he gets in his time to swim and lift weights!

The Terribly Wonderful Twos

Little Miss L Girl. Here's a series of pictures from this last week. This is what she's been up to.
Here's L Girl in her sweet blingin shirt, her pig tails, and sweet new shoes!
L Girl has been really interested by makeup this last week. Evey morning she stands on the toilet and watches me do my makeup. I unfortunately taught her how to unscrew a water bottle this week and while I was putting my makeup on she unscrew a bottle of my eye glitter. We had the most beautiful Toilet this week. It was so sparkly! I almost didn't want to clean the toilet this week. L Girl is always very very creative. She is always finding new ways to play with her toys. I am so grateful for this characteristic as I have a newborn in the house now. Thanks girl! I love you!
Back to the makeup.... She was having color time this last week and discovered markers were the closest thing to makeup. She looks gorgeous! Don't you think!?
Nemo Nemo Nemo! I stayed up with her on Wednesday night and watched nemo with her and now she can't get enough of it. She copies what they say and do. It's really fun. Especially the part when they have to jump on the jelly fish tops. Also the part when they make nemo jump through the ring of fire. She yells, "Ha He Wa He Ha HO HO HO".

WSU Organic Farm!

Yesterday we all drove out to the WSU organic farm. It is so stinkin cute! They have a huge you-pick apple orchard, pumpkin patch, and berry patch. L girl really loved finding all the pumpkins. This particular one was old and rotting. It was very squishy and smelly! Yuck! But she loved the fact that she could tote it around. We got there late in the day so we never actually got home with a pumpkin. Next year. Yeah, next year we'll get there early before all the good pumpkins are gone!

eeBoo

Have you been to this site or heard of this stuff? I just went to a little baby boutique here in the "Cow" called Lillyput and they had the cutest stuff from this site. I bought these really cute wall cards to decorate the girl's room. They are 8x10. Love them! There's so much more cute stuff. Check out the website.

Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary

This month's issue of Mary's magazine is so stinkin cute! That's where I got the idea for the sweet pumpkin lantern garland thing. If you have never looked at this magazine, please do! It's stuffed full of fun scrapbooking ideas, sewing, and decorating ideas! Love love love it!

Blog: Turned Into a Journal?

SO I have this idea. There needs to be a way to blog and have your blog printed out. Maybe into some type of book form. I would really love to preserve all that I've written. Keeping a journal now a days is getting very hard and I really love sharing stuff with friends and family. Someone needs to do this!

Recipe: Easy Cheesy Vegetable Chicken Chowder

This recipe is so quick and easy! It's from the better homes and gardens "Big Book of 30 min meals". We had cornbread with it last night and I'm having the leftovers for lunch today. Sorry no picture today! I would have posted the corn bread recipe but I think it's a secret family recipe. So, if you really really want it (which you should! it's so good! It's almost like cake!), email me, and I'll send it to you!

25 min 5 min prep

1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup loose-pack frozen whole kernel corn
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup chopped onions
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme, crushed or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken or turkey
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of potato soup
3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 3 ounces)
1 dash pepper
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 1 ounce)

1. In a large saucepan combine broccoli, corn, water, onion, and thyme. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Do not drain.

2. Stir milk, chicken or turkey, potato soup, the 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, and pepper into vegetable mixture. Cook (stirring often) over medium heat until cheese melts and mixture is heated through.

3. Sprinkle each serving with the remaining cheddar cheese. That's it! You're done.

Changes: I put a chicken breast in the oven with the cornbread before I make the soup. I put a little olive oil on it with garlic salt and pepper. When the chicken is done let it sit for at least 5 min. Then I shred the chicken using a fork. I love shredded chicken in soups so much better than cubed.

Joseph B. Wirthlin

I am always looking forward to general conference. It's such a cozy weekend. We don't get conference on TV but we are able to listen to it on the internet. During the Saturday afternoon session I went to the stake center to watch while b daddy stayed to listen with the girls.

When Joseph B. Wirthlin got up to speak I was all ears. He asked the question what quality defines us best as members of the church? He continued with the answer, Charity for it is the pure love of Christ. He said you could even have the faith to move mountains but without charity it won't profit you at all. His talk was perfect. I loved it so much. I felt so much love for him. I cried when he told to story of the old woman who could no longer paint her nails and of her loving husband who would paint them for her till she died. When he started to struggle I began to cry again. I was a sobbing mess! Not only was I feeling the spirit but I was still feeling crazy hormones. (as I have given birth only 3 weeks ago) I wanted so badly to be up there with him, to help him! I was so grateful that Elder Nelson got up and stood with him.

I couldn't regain my composure and wanted nothing more than for my husband to hold me. So, I went home! I ran in balling to my husband who, quickly asked what happened? who died? I was laughing through my tears explaining what had happened during Elder Wirthlin's talk. Since he was only listening to conference, he wasn't able to see what was going on.

General Conference is wonderful. I love feeling a renewed sense of spirituality.

My kind of Scrapbooking!

The girls are asleep, the dishes are done, and I'm ready to be creative! I really do enjoy scrapbooking. I just don't have the budget for it. Time or Money. Digital photos and adobe illustrator is for me! It's so quick and easy! I have so much freedom with this program! I love it!

Applesauce

How fun! Mom you're way cool! My mom and her friends got together and made applesauce. Looks like a good time to me! My mother has three kids. We are all out of the house now and she's busier than ever! Not only do all of us kids call her non stop but my dad just got called into the singles ward. She loves being there in the singles ward. All the singles look up to her. They are always telling her their problems. So not only is she solving all of her kids' problems but shes now helping all the singles too!

Every time I call her she's doing something new. Yesterday she finished a quilt for my brother. It's a Halloween quilt. I made one last year and cut out extra blocks for my brother. My sister pieced it and my mom did the label, machine quilting, and binding. Here's what my quilt turned out like.
She is really really good at helping me decorate. When Baby b was born she came down and stayed a week. Here's what we made. The pumpkin garland and big pumpkin lantern was from walmart. We just bought ribbon and tulle to hold up the lanterns. We got the other small lanterns at the dollar store.
Mom, I love you! You're so much fun! You're also a wonderful grandmother!

Sometimes all you need is a Makeover!

Yes this photo was taken by myself. That's why it's so blurry. Anyway, I have had the hardest week ever! First we all went up to Spokane for Bryan's Cousin's farewell and a cousin's baby blessing, and for a photo shoot. That Saturday I got very ill with the flu. I had never been so sick! It lasted a few days which was very hard with a 2 year old, a 2 week old, and a husband in school. I was so afraid that they would all get it..... Yep, you guessed it, they ALL got it! After me, it was "L girl" who got sick and I had to go and rent a carpet doctor it got so bad! Then "B daddy" who, thank goodness only got a fever. Lastly, "Baby b" got sick today. She didn't keep anything down all day! It has been a very stressful day! I mean WEEK! So, tonight I told Bryan I was leaving. I didn't really know where I was going but I was going! In the "Cow" there's not to many places to actually go but, Macy's was my stop, the clinique counter to be specific. There was an awesome lady there who noticed how tired I was (by the way I looked) and she hooked me up! I had so much fun talking with all the ladies and getting pampered! So, when you're feeling down and tired go and get a makeover! It does wonders!
