Mother's Weekend

Before we all went down to Utah, my school had mother's weekend. I was so excited! My mom and sister Kira came down for a couple days. We had so much fun together! Bryan and I even got to go to our Stake Formal. They had dinner there and a live swing band! It was amazing! Thanks mom and Kira!

Welcome to the Farm!

My grandparents live in southern Idaho on a dairy farm. On our way home from Utah we stopped by to see them. My grandma is almost 90 years old! You go girl! I love you Grandma and Grandpa!
Lauryn was so excited to see the farm. She wanted to see the cows, the pigs, the farmer, and the monkeys. I tried to explain to her that there were no monkeys on the farm. I think the only monkey that was on the farm that day, was her!

Discovery at Gateway!

Himmy's Aunt Kristy took us to Gateway to see the new Sesame Street discovery center. Lauryn had so much fun and we did too! Thanks Kristi!

K-dawg, my brother, the new BYU Graduate!

We went down to Provo on Monday to surprise my brother for his graduation. We all went to IHOP on tuesday and to his graduation on Friday. Classes don't get out for us until next week so we took an extra spring break! It was so much fun!
Congrats Kurt! You WROK! He graduated from BYU in Chemical Engineering.

"pocket" sized quiet book

This is a much smaller version of the original quiet book I made. I really have enjoyed making this one. It's the size of a jean back pocket. As you can see the front page is just that. On the farm page the barn is the pocket that hold little animals. There is a matching the shapes page and a dress the ballerina page. I have a few more pages to finish. This is actually a project for my infancy and early childhood development class. I really love the class and I think it has helped me to have children of my own. All the information is so applicable so it's easy to learn and remember.

Franny- an artist in the making!

Franny loves to watercolor. I mean she'll sit for an hour coloring! It's a combination of all her favorite things! goo, water, color, brushes! I love how she puts the color right where she wants it. While she paints Himmy draws the contour of her strokes. It has a cool effect huh? Have a great day! love, K

Here's Himmy's VTD midterm. It is AMAZING! Check it out!

so, to give some context, this was a midterm project to define a logo that represented VTD (virtual technology and Design, the name of my degree) and then to animate it for 1 minute.

Oh IdaHO!

FORGET REDNECKS; THIS IS WHAT JEFF FOXWORTHY HAD TO SAY ABOUT IDAHOANS !
If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you live in Idaho.
If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you live in Idaho.
If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed the wrong number, you live in Idaho.
If 'vacation' means going anywhere south of Salt Lake City for the weekend, you live in Idaho.
If you measure distance in hours, you live in Idaho.
If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you live in Idaho.
If you have switched from 'heat' to 'A/C' and back again in the same day, you live in Idaho.
If you install security lights on your house and garage but leave both unlocked, you live in Idaho.
If you can drive 75 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard without flinching, you live in Idaho.
If you design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, you live in Idaho.
If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80, and everyone is still passing you, you live in Idaho.
If driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow, you live in Idaho.
If you know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction, you live in Idaho.

If you find 10 degrees 'a little chilly' you live in Idaho.
If you actually understand these jokes and forward them to all your IDAHO friends, you live in Idaho.

Lemons always remind me of spring and summer. I love having them in my kitchen. They brighten my day and they smell so good! Maybe I can make it. Spring hurry up please.

The REAL Foutch Coutch

this shot is to demenstrate the sheer volume of snow we have here in moscow. every sidewalk is a trench. I heard that the official measurement was 1 couch thick!

well, the snow is officially deep enough to carve a life sized couch out of it. yay. Kate and I carved this out at about 9:00 pm. we figured that weary trail blazers could take a small break on their way through.

Ed 201

Here's some pictures of my education 201 class. I have to do 30 practicum hours in a school setting. I am a family and consumer science major but they don't have my curriculum in the schools here. Sad! I am doing my hours with the Junior High Art teacher. He has been teaching for over 20 years. His class room is way fun and I am learning a lot about teaching! Enjoy! Love, K
