The other night I stayed up late to pre-make sugar cookie dough and icing. I even colored the icing that night too! I've been wanting to make my mom's famous sugar cookies with Franny for a long time but it's such a project! By making most of the stuff the night before it really helped. We had so much fun! It's one of the family traditions that's been passed down. Sorry, no recipe. It's a family secret!
For Family Night we focused on the True Meaning of Easter. We explained about the resurrection of Christ and how Easter was a time to remember what Christ had done for us. Franny was so excited to learn about it. She told me, " Mom, I died, and I Live AGAIN!" It was so cute! After the lesson we went out for an easter egg hunt. Each egg had a picture of Christ inside. Franny was so excited to find each picture of Him. Then we had some ice cream for family night treat. While eating ice cream I asked Franny what Easter was about. She yelled out, "Easter Eggs!" Dang, she didn't get it. Oh, well. I tried. I'm sure she'll figure it out soon.

Agh! I set the cookie down on the counter when you came over last night and then I forgot about it. I really hope it is still sitting there and that Jay didn't eat it. If it's still there I will be in heaven in 3 hours!
you're such a good mom!
it's a fun time of year! Happy Easter. Those cookies look very tasty!
Holy cow. I just ate my cookie and it was the best sugar cookie I have EVER had! I will pay you to make me more.
