Reasons why you need to tell me you read my blog. (My friend did this for her birthday and I just have to do it too!)

1. I have never done this before. (asking for comments)

2. I really want to know who reads my blog and what they like about it.

3. It's my birthday!

4. Just leave a comment simply because I am sharing this sweet photo of me on my 8th birthday. Gotta love the hair.

Lauryn Says

Bryan: "Lauryn, do you have issues?"

Lauryn: "No, I have white shoes."

Day Two in McCall 8-21-09

One of the many family traditions we have while at the cabin it to build a puzzle! Grandpa is always ready for us. Grandpa, we have so many fond memories of doing puzzles together! We love you!

The girls couldn't get enough of Uncle Kurt. (I'm not kidding)

Here's Lauryn and Emily reading Ripley's Believe or Not book with Uncle Kurt. Lauryn loved this book so much, we picked one up at Costco for her birthday. Shhhh! It's a Surprise!

Kira and I got in some Tubing! Gotta love being on the Lake! I miss it already!

Bryan tried slalom skiing this year! Go Bryan!

Here's my beautiful Grandma holding her third great grandchild Kamryn.

Happy 5 Anniversary Babe!

We were very lucky to spend our anniversary in McCall. Our family watched all three of our girls while we went to dinner. We had a great time except the first restaurant ended up having to turn us away because the kitchen was so far behind and we locked our keys in the car! It was defiantly a night to remember! Here's a photo of the restaurant we ate at. Our waiter was amazing and let us use his AAA card to get our car unlocked. We were so happy and left him a very good tip!

Tubing in McCall with Kurt and Bryan

As you can see, they were very sore after and could hardly get out of the water.

Day One in McCall Idaho

Last Thursday we arrived in Beautiful McCall Idaho. Right in the middle of the picture, through the trees you can see my Grandfathers cabin that we get to say in.

My Brother Kurt got to be with us! We only see him twice a year since he lives in Kansas City.

Brooklyn and her best friend, Papa.

Lauryn LOVING the sand and water.

Brooklyn LOVING the water too.

Lauryn loved to look through the "nockulars".

Kamryn 1 month old!

Cleaning Tip #1- Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel

As most of you know I am a clean and organize freak! I love cleaning and I have decided to add some of my favorite cleaning tips from time to time. Please let me know if this is something you would like to see on my blog by answering my survey on the right. Thanks! love, Katelyn

Here in Moscow we have hard water and it's tough to keep the toilets sparkling. I found this new Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel. I LOVE it! It says that it will clean your toilet for up to one week. Mine has been working for 2 and no hard water stains! After the two weeks I went to scrub my toilets but there wasn't anything to scrub. The only down side to this product is the smell. It's not a horrible smell. I just think it should smell like "clean breeze" or "fresh rain". (I would suggest buying the citrus smelling one.) So I give this new product a 4 star. I'm defiantly keeping this product in my cleaning routine.
(ps- if you click on the link to the product home page, you can view video testimonials!;)

A Before and After

This is for my new found friend Stacey. You can find her business here. I've been meaning to take pictures of the desk I bought from her but my space looked like this for a long time.

BEFORE

I found this desk from Stacey on craigslist for $52! Can you believe it! It's absolutely perfect for what I needed. For so long I had been sewing on a plastic, folding table. Man, was it difficult to sew. Now my space is complete! Thank you Krown Sisters!

Swats & Shakes ( by dad )

"Swats & Shakes". It's our new disciplinary strategy. Here's how it works:

Step 1. Child gets out of bed the 49'th time Step 2. Dad gives child a swat for getting out of bed the 49'th time
Step 3. Mom comes home 2 minutes later & ( on a whim ) announces "Let's go get milk shakes"
Step 4. Child happily climbs out of bed the 50'th time, and is rewarded a milk shake.

Lesson Learned.
( I guess you gotta reward their determination every once in a while )

Even though it makes no sense, sometimes it's nice to throw the "spontaneous" card, and add a little pointless enjoyment to your evening. Thanks Kate, we all had a great time!!

Brooklyn ordered the 3 shake meal with a side of shake. Her current "sugar high" can be measured by her elevation from the seat. Needless to say, this wasn't the best tactic for making sleepy kids.

A Box and a Basket from Boise

This Box is from my Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jeff. Here's the girls discovering it's content.

GASP! This little doll for baby Kamryn has got to be the cutest thing ever! There's even a little jingle when you shake the baby.

Cookie is in LOVE!
Look how CUTE!

They also sent cards for the new sisters. They had big sister badges inside! Franny LOVES hers!
Dear Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Jeff, Emily, and Grace,
THANK YOU! We loved the box! I almost don't want the girls to play with their dolls because they are so cute! They love them. Also, thank you for the hand pampering kit for me. I love it and can't wait to use it. Burt's Bee's is the best! Jennifer, you are SO good at picking out gifts. Thank you for the sweet giraffe. I love all the different calming sounds that it makes. I am excited to use it! Thanks again for thinking of us. We LOVE you all and miss you!!

This Basket was sent from my Grandma Thompson in Boise.

A baby lamb and three Circular Receiving Blankets. Yes, I said Circular. They are amazing! I absolutely LOVE them!

Two Beautiful Hand Knit Sweaters

Dear Grandma,

Thank you so much for thinking of us and sending this beautiful basket. We loved opening it up and looking at all the different treasures! I love the receiving blankets and I was in need of more of them. Thanks for all the time you put into everything! We LOve you and miss you!
