Burp! Cloths

Here's some burp cloths that I finished the other day. I really love how they turned out. I used scraps of flannel and some of the scraps even had to be pieced. It's amazing what you can make with scraps! If you would like a simple how to/pattern on these please let me know if you are interested. They are super quick and super cute! Enjoy!

love, K
This receiving blanket was made by my mom and she gave me scraps of the fabric so I could make a matching burp cloth.

An Unexpected Gift

Yesterday I was at the playground with my girls and my neighbor walked over to me with this in her arms:

I was so surprised! She had made me a diaper cake complete with some beautiful peonies! She is so sweet! Her and her husband are from Japan. They came to the US about 5 years ago and they now have a 2 year old daughter.
Thank you Eri! You made my day!!

Where Have I Been?

I have been relaxing at my parents house where they spoiled me and the girls for a whole week! Himmy dropped us off while he went back home to work. After the week was over, the girls and I did not want to leave. Here's a few pictures. The first is the front porch and the next two are of my mom's cute kitchen.

One of the many ways that my parents spoiled my girls was by giving them ice cream after every meal. Seriously, could they look any more content?

Here's a photo of my cute mom making popcorn tootsie pop balls. Her and my dad serve in the singles ward and they had to make the treats for family night. This treat has been a tradition in our family. When it was my birthday growing up, my mom would always make these to bring to my class! Everyone loves them!

In other news:

My package came from when I won Jane's giveaway. Inside were two pairs of fab earrings and a box of SPARKLERS! Thanks Jane!

A Day at the Park

Cookie is doing better this morning. Thank Goodness! It's so good to see her smile again. I swear she's had angry eyes for the last 4 days.

I took Franny to the park the other day. She LOVED this park. It has a big pond with ducks, turtles, and snakes! Yes, Snakes! They were harmless little gardner snakes. Even so, I was still grossed out. I really don't like snakes. It was a beautiful day. My favorite picture is the one of the tree blossoms.

PS- I won a giveaway! Thanks for drawing my name out of the hat JANE!

Wishing I Could have been there!

I shed a tear when I woke up Saturday morning. Little miss Cookie woke up with a super high temperature. I ran her to the quick care and found she has strep throat. Dang. That meant that I couldn't be here-

I had been dreaming of this event for over a year now but instead I was at home nursing a sick baby back to health. She cried from 7am to 7pm. I tried everything to help her feel better. Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Popsicles. Gatorade. When I held her she wanted down and when I put her down she wanted up. She was so sick she didn't know what she wanted. I was so frustrated! At one point I just cried with her. When she saw the tears coming from my eyes she stopped to watch. Funny, that the only time she stopped crying was to watch me cry! So yes, I missed the best antiques show in the Inland Northwest to be with this sweet girl all day long. Cookie, you'll always be worth it to me! I love you!
