L Girl Singing, "I'm trying to be like Jesus" and Her Boots

Here's L Girl's newest obsession. Her frog boots! She has to wear them all the time. I tried taking them off once.... she cried for so long! She's still learning to talk. She tries to say the words but they usually don't come out right. She has a really hard time pronouncing "frog" and it comes out sounding like the queen-mother of dirty words. Her other obsessions include buckles, zippers, organizing by color, running around while dancing to music, and taking a bath. I think she would take 5 baths a day if she could! (I tried getting a good shot but I just really wanted my thumb in the picture! ;)

Fun with FABRIC! and Baby B a Bathing Beauty!

OH, how I love my fabric! I can't get enough of it! The question is what should I make and when will I have time to make it?!! My grandma gave me a big bag of beautiful Christmas fabric. I figured I should just make a table runner with it. As I was laying out the fabric L Girl showed me what she wanted to do with it. Make a stellar head band! So fun! She is so creative! I love her!

Baby B has learned to love her bath! However, she does scream her head off after when I put lotion on her and dress her. I just had to share this cute photo! Do you love all our bath toys in the background?

Thank a Veteran

Okay, this is my last post today. I hope. I know I've been away from blogging a couple days so, let's just say I'm catching up!

I almost forgot about Veteran's day! Then I remembered the WW II special I watched on PBS by Ken Burns. If you haven't seen it, you must! It is amazing. I believe if you go here to learn more about it. I think it's so important that we thank our veterans. I wouldn't want them to feel like they were forgotten. They all fought for us. For our freedom, for our families, and for our lives. When you see them in the store or around town with their Veteran hat on, stop and say thank you!

Vintage Blossom Inspiration

This weekend B daddy and I went to Spokane. Yes, again. We babysat for our Ward temple trip. Then my mom, her friend, Camille and I went to the Vintage Blossom. It was customer appreciation day. It was so amazing! They had free food, free stuff, and a barbershop quartet! Camille and I got many craft ideas. Here's some pictures of us.Here's what came from the inspiration. They had several big boards that read, "Always kiss me goodnight". I loved it so much so I decided to make a mini version with fabric and back stitching. So simple! love it!

Paper Bag Scrapbook! These are so easy! Just fold two paper bags in half and sew down the side. Add whatever pictures, ribbon, or embellishments you want to. The paper bag creates pockets that you can put stuff in. For this scrapbook I made, it would be perfect as a baptismal gift. You could write your testimony and put it in one of the pockets. I made this one for L girl so it had to be rip proof! All I did was cover it in packaging tape! Have questions? Email me! Happy Crafting! PS- I got the photos from the Ensign!

Feel the BURN!

I can finally start exercising! I am so excited! I have an awesome spinning class I go to. It's tough but you really feel the burn! Exercising only counts for me when it makes me sore. You know? I want to know it's working! What do you do to feel the burn?

The All "Original" Witch and Nerd

The first costume idea I had for L Girl was a bee. Mostly because all I had to do was buy tulle! She had this cute yellow pj suit so it was very economical! It didn't really work out but, when I put it on her she said, "I an a bee!". She ended up wearing a really cute black halloween dress that her grandma got her. Here's L girl with her loot!

Here's B daddy and I. B daddy was a really good computer nerd. He even went and bought a pack of pocket protectors! He loves those things!

L Girl had so much fun handing out candy. She loved helping "ganpa". She was very good at dropping the candy into the trick or treater's bags and then saying, "say thannnk ouu!" She also loved b daddy's nerd glasses!
