This afternoon I wanted to snuggle with Franny on the couch and watch a movie. In light of Halloween I thought we would watch some thing SciFi. Thanks to my friend we watched E.T. I thought she would be terrified because I'm pretty sure I'm still scared of E.T. She loved it! I kept trying to tell her that his name was E.T. that he was an Alien. She said, "No mom! It's a MONKEY!" I laughed so hard. No wonder it wasn't scary. He was only a monkey.

Check out my loot!
I was so shocked to get a package today from my mom. Well, not that shocked. She is always doing fun things for me. She sent me a bunch of big clear gift bags, a bunch of ribbon, a halloween wall hanging pattern, and the new charm pack by moda. The charm pack is called pumpkins gone wild. Thanks mom, I love you!

A trip down Memory Lane.
Last night we went to bug our neighbors and found ourselves looking at all the picture from their wedding video and their wedding. You know all the embarrassing photos. My friend was pretty upset that her husband was showing us those picture so I decided to show some of our photos. I hope this helps you feel better Lacey! love, K

I am drooling!
I've seen Amy Butler's big gumdrop pillows before and have thought to make them. When I saw the new cover of Mary Engelbreits Home Companion Magazine I started to drool! I want to make a bunch of pillows to go around my tree! Soooo CUTE!

Greenbluff
I have to go every year to Greenbluff. If I don't, fall just isn't the same. I love the smell of weird vendor food, apples, pumpkin donuts, and the crisp fall air. This year my Grandparents were in town when we went. It was so fun to have them with us. Franny got to ride a little pony named Misty. She loved it.

Pasta e Fagiol: Compare to Olive Garden
1/2 lb. hamburger cooked with 1/2 copped onion
1 Large Carrot or 1 cup cut into short strips
3 Stalks Celery or 1 cup chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
2- 14 oz can diced tomato
1- 14 oz red kidney beans with liquid
1- 15 oz can great northern beans with liquid
1- 15 oz can tomato sauce
1- 12oz can V8
1 Tbsp White Vinegar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp thyme
1/2 lb of Ditalini pasta
Brown beef with onion in large pot and drain fat. Add carrot, celery, and garlic. Saute with beef for 10 min. Add remaining ingredients except pasta. Simmer on low for 1 hour. 50 min into simmering cook in 2 quarts of water and drain. Cook noodles just under done. Add pasta to the soup and simmer 10 more minutes and serve.
My mother serves this soup with these bread sticks. They are simply rhodes rolls, rolled out into bread sticks. You also dip them in butter and Parmesan cheese. Let them rise and then bake at 350 for 9-11 minutes.
This soup is a family favorite and makes a lot. Invite a neighbor family over to share it with and you'll still be eating for lunch the next day! Enjoy! love, K
