The other night I stayed up late to pre-make sugar cookie dough and icing. I even colored the icing that night too! I've been wanting to make my mom's famous sugar cookies with Franny for a long time but it's such a project! By making most of the stuff the night before it really helped. We had so much fun! It's one of the family traditions that's been passed down. Sorry, no recipe. It's a family secret!

For Family Night we focused on the True Meaning of Easter. We explained about the resurrection of Christ and how Easter was a time to remember what Christ had done for us. Franny was so excited to learn about it. She told me, " Mom, I died, and I Live AGAIN!" It was so cute! After the lesson we went out for an easter egg hunt. Each egg had a picture of Christ inside. Franny was so excited to find each picture of Him. Then we had some ice cream for family night treat. While eating ice cream I asked Franny what Easter was about. She yelled out, "Easter Eggs!" Dang, she didn't get it. Oh, well. I tried. I'm sure she'll figure it out soon.
